We welcome divers from all training agencies – ESAC, PADI, CMAS, SSAC – and support beginners through every stage of learning.
If you’ve never tried scuba before, we can get you started with a safe, fun try dive in a local pool. If you’re already qualified, you’ll find a friendly, supportive group of divers ready to explore the seas with you.
We’re a real club for real divers – whether you’re new or experienced, you’ll fit right in.
Whether you’re completely new to scuba diving or looking to build on existing qualifications, Sovereign Divers offers structured training delivered within a real, active dive club.
We train at a sensible pace, focusing on safety, confidence and enjoyment – not rushing people through for the sake of ticking boxes.
Never tried scuba before? Our Try Dives take place in a local swimming pool and give you the chance to experience breathing underwater in a relaxed, controlled environment.
You’ll be guided by experienced instructors throughout, with no pressure to commit to a full course. It’s simply a great way to see if diving is for you.
The Ocean Diver course is BSAC’s entry-level qualification and is ideal if you’re starting from scratch.
Training includes:
Classroom theory
Confined water (pool) sessions
Open water dives
You’ll learn the skills and knowledge needed to dive safely to 20 metres, all while becoming part of the club from day one.
The Sports Diver course is the next step for divers looking to gain more independence and experience.
This course focuses on:
Improved buoyancy and dive planning
Deeper diving
Practical experience in real UK conditions
Depth progression up to 40 metres
Training is delivered alongside club diving, making it a natural progression rather than a standalone course.
One of the biggest benefits of training with Sovereign Divers is that you’re not learning in isolation.
You’ll train, dive and progress as part of an active club – with regular diving opportunities, mentorship from experienced members, and ongoing support long after your course finishes.
